Bye Bye Summer 2008!

Well, it looks like summer of 2008 is on it's way out the door and we are about to step into another Colorado Fall.

We took the opportunity to go for a hike today at Deer Creek Canyon and followed up with dinner with our friends James and Sarah. Dexter had a lot of fun playing with their little daughter Annabelle. It's really great to see how good Dexter is with little kids.

Dana's business continues to pick up steam and she will be doing some additional advertising soon including an advertising mailer to the Littleton area.

Here's the new photo album with the Deer Creek photos. We'll be trying to keep more up to date on the blog as we get into cooler Fall weather.

OK, another long hiatus with no updates, we've been awful busy getting Dana's practice launched and I'm proud to say that she's been up and running (and seeing patients) for almost four weeks now!

Dana has also launched her marketing campaign which so far consists of ads in the area Spotlight magazine (which focuses on local businesses) and she will be launching online advertising soon also (through Google, Yahoo, etc).

We hope soon to have professional pictures up for her website, don't forget to visit it, www.pagedentalarts.com or if you're in need of a Littleton Dentist in Colorado then check out her office at Kipling & C470.

Thanks!

April update

Well it's time for that early spring update, and I apologize for anyone who checks here for news not seeing any of our goings on. The last few months have been crazy busy and this is really the first chance I've had to put news on the site. As can be seen from the photo, Dana has a new ride, a 2008 Acura MDX. We felt the MDX offered the best options in a base model and we wanted to go with something that hopefully we would be happy driving for the next 7-10 years.

The biggest news by far is that Dana is launching her own dental practice, Page Dental Arts which will be opening in June at the Jefferson Market shopping center in Southwest Littleton, near I470 & Kipling. She's been keeping the info on this hush hush until construction began and she had given her notice to her current employer. This is a major step and something that is both exciting and stressful at the same time. Her new office is going to feature the latest technology including massage chairs, DVD/TV for the patient, digital X-ray system and Voice over IP telephones. We will hopefully be having an opening party for her in June so that all of our friends can check the place out.

More news from us in the weeks ahead as time permits!

January 2008. Windstorms, AeroGarden and more!

Well, it's January in Colorado and we are really enjoying a break in the cold weather. We saw the coldest day so far this year a couple of weeks ago, it got down to about -5F.

The problem is that the warm front has brought in some unbelievably high winds, we had gusts last night that sounded like they wanted to tear shingles off of our roof and actually did tear a 10 foot section of our fence off of the house. I was out there at 8AM pounding nails in to keep it together enough so that Dexter can't get out. I'll have to take it completely apart later this week when the weather calms down.

To the left you can see our lovely Aero Garden. Can you believe we "planted" this thing only 4 weeks ago? It does put out a lot of light though, our neighbors probably think we are growing vegetables of the illegal variety! Apparently the Aero Grow people are going to put out a strawberry patch kit this spring which is what I'm really looking forward to. Supposedly you will be able to harvest 2.5 lbs of strawberries after 8 weeks and keep harvesting for months after that! :) Can you tell I like strawberries?

Who stole Santa's Cookies?

Well, Dexter did apparently, Dana caught him in the act taking Santa's cookies. Bad dog! :)

And thanks to Dana's parents gift we were able to get this really cool Aero Garden and have started it up today. It's planted with Basil, cilantro, chives and other tasty herbs. Having an herb garden that produces for weeks and weeks is a great gift!

Christmas Greetings!

It's hard to believe that the Holiday season is in full swing, and even harder to believe that 2007 is almost gone, but sadly, that's the case! Dana and I have gotten our tree up and decorated over the weekend, just as we got a few inches of snow in the south Denver suburbs. Thankfully I'm all stocked up on fresh coffee for making it through those cold winter mornings!

More photos will be added when we get to Christmas morning, everyone loves those gift giving photos! Well, maybe not everyone, but family seem to like them.
